Josephine Bakhuis
Josephine is a native of the island of Curaçao. She is a lawyer by profession and has held several important offices in the government of the Netherland Antilles; such as Director of Child Welfare, member of the Office of the Attorney General, special advisor to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles, legal advisor of the Department of Economic Affairs, advisor to the Minister of Justice, advisor to the Commissioner of Economic Affairs, assistant to the Director of Prison and functioned as the coordinator of reorganization processes of several governmental entities.
She also held the position of "Senior Policy Coordinator on Issues of Re-socialization" at the Department of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles. She is the founder and leader of the Christian Democratic political party the " Organization for the Restoration of each and everyone " (ORDU); for which she served as a member of the local parliament for 4 years.
Presently she is a motivational speaker, the main advisor to the "Excel Arts Academy" in Curaçao and works along with her daughter as a motivational trainer. She is engaged with the training of a respected group of young leaders on the island and is globally involved as a trustee, member of the Executive Council and one of the Vice presidents of the "International Third World Leaders Association" chaired by Dr. Myles Munroe. Josephine and her husband Gilberto are the senior pastors of a vibrant full gospel church on the beautiful island of Curaçao.
